What 'partially paid' means and how we handle it

Updated August 30, 2026

Occasionally a crypto payment arrives for less than the order total. Usually it is a network fee deducted at the sending end, or a coin's price moving during the few minutes between quote and send. When that happens, the order is marked 'partially paid', and this page explains what we do about it.

We never deliver on an underpayment

A code is only released when the full amount confirms. If your payment is short by more than a small tolerance, the order pauses at 'partially paid' rather than delivering. This protects you from a half-paid order that could be disputed, and it protects us from releasing a code against money that never fully arrived.

Your two options

  • Top up the difference. Send the remaining amount to the same invoice and the order completes and delivers automatically.
  • Take a refund of what you sent. Crypto refunds go back to the address you paid from. Note that if you paid from an exchange's deposit address, the exchange may not credit the return to your account — pay from a wallet you control if you want a refund path.

How to avoid it

Send the exact amount the invoice shows, and account for your wallet's network fee on top rather than out of the total. If your wallet deducts the fee from the amount sent, add the fee so the full total still arrives. For price stability, a stablecoin like USDT removes the rate-movement risk entirely. New to the whole flow? Start with paying with crypto for the first time.

Either way, you are not stuck. Email support with your order ID and we will resolve it the same day.
