How to redeem a V-Bucks card on any platform

How to redeem a V-Bucks card on any platform

A V-Bucks card is redeemed on your Epic Games account, not a single console — which is exactly why it is the flexible option. Once redeemed, the V-Bucks are shared across every platform linked to that Epic account. Here is how to do it and how to make sure the balance lands where you expect.

Redeem your V-Bucks card

  • Go to fortnite.com/vbuckscard and sign in to the Epic Games account you play Fortnite on.
  • Enter the PIN from the back of the card, or the code from your delivery email.
  • Select Next, confirm the account shown is correct, and complete the redemption.
  • Open Fortnite on any linked platform — the V-Bucks are on your account, ready to spend.

Make sure it lands on the right account

This is the step people get wrong. V-Bucks credit the Epic account you are signed in to when you redeem — so sign in to the same account you actually play on. If you play on PlayStation or Xbox, that console is linked to an Epic account; sign in to that one. Once redeemed, the balance follows you across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC and mobile.

What your V-Bucks cover

A season Battle Pass costs under 1,000 V-Bucks, so a 1,000 V-Bucks card covers it with a little to spare; a 2,800 card covers the pass plus a skin. If you are still choosing, our Buy V-Bucks with crypto page compares the amounts.

If the code won't redeem

  • Region — a US V-Bucks card redeems on a US-region Epic account. Check your account country before buying if you are unsure.
  • Wrong account — if the V-Bucks are not showing in-game, confirm you redeemed on the same Epic account your platform is linked to.
  • "Free V-Bucks" prompts — no legitimate redemption ever asks you to complete a survey or run a generator. Redeem only at fortnite.com/vbuckscard.
