How to redeem a PlayStation Store code
Updated August 30, 2026

A PlayStation Store code adds funds to your PSN wallet, which you can spend on games, add-ons, and PlayStation Plus. Redeem it yourself on your console or in a browser — here is how, plus the region rule that catches most people.
Redeem on PS5 or PS4
- From the home screen, open the PlayStation Store.
- Select your profile, then Redeem Codes (on PS5, scroll to the bottom of the Store; on PS4 it is in the side menu).
- Enter the 12-character code and confirm. The funds are added to your wallet right away.
Redeem in a browser
- Sign in at the PlayStation website, open the account menu, and choose Redeem Codes.
- Enter the code — the wallet balance updates on your account.
PSN codes are strictly region-locked
PlayStation is the strictest platform on region. A US Store code only redeems on a US-region PSN account, and the account's country cannot be changed once it has a wallet balance. Check your account country under Settings before you buy. Our PlayStation Store codes are US codes for US accounts.
If the code won't redeem
- Region mismatch — the single most common cause. A US code will not redeem on a non-US account, full stop.
- "The code is expired or already used" — contact the seller with your order ID if you never redeemed it.
- Mis-typed characters — PSN codes avoid easily-confused letters, but double-check before assuming the code is bad.
